The Fjellpulken Touring Pulk Shaft is our all-round pulk shaft for ski touring, family trips and general use with a pulk.

The rigid construction provides good control of the pulk on flat terrain, downhill and when conditions vary. The shaft is made from fiberglass and metal, with fiberglass tubes that combine low weight with the strength needed for regular touring.

The shaft can be folded for easier transport and storage.

Better control when the terrain changes

A rigid pulk shaft does more than simply pull the pulk behind you.

When travelling downhill, the shaft helps keep the pulk at a controlled distance behind you. On side slopes and uneven terrain, the fixed connection also gives you better control of the pulk's movement than a tow rope.

The Touring Pulk Shaft is therefore the natural choice for most trips with a pulk – whether you are pulling a children's pulk on a family outing or carrying equipment on a winter tour.

Touring or Expedition?

Choose the Touring Pulk Shaft for general touring and normal loads.

If you expect to pull heavier loads, use your pulk extensively or travel on longer and more demanding trips, we recommend the Expedition Pulk Shaft. It replaces the fiberglass tubes with solid fiberglass rods and features a reinforced crossbar for additional strength.

Why doesn't the current shaft have suspension?

Previous generations of Fjellpulken pulk shafts featured two-way suspension in the handles. Today's shafts use a fixed construction, providing a more direct and predictable connection between you and the pulk.

The change is based on our experience using pulk shafts in varied terrain, snow conditions and with different loads.
