If you want to use the sled with a rope pull to the dog, instead of our pulls for 1 or 2 dogs, you need a nome pre-tensioner. This is attached to the pull fittings on the sled, and then you use the rope to one or more dogs pulling the sled. The driver stands behind the sled and controls the equipment from there. This product is compatible with Fjellpulken Xcountry series, and Xplorer 154 and 168.

Fantastic sled, love the color and it was really good for my children on a trip in the mountains.

I have now had the chance to test the pulk. I would give it a top rating of 6. I have participated in the Amundsen Extrem across Hardangervidda myself, so I have a fair amount of experience with pulks. Regarding this pulk, I was afraid it would be a bit too short, but I was wrong. The size is absolutely perfect (I wouldn’t have chosen a longer one). Plenty of room for gear and food for a week-long trip. Solid construction, and the rear opening is absolutely brilliant.
